Head to head
Hyperliquid vs Anytime Capital
Hyperliquid is the first on-chain perpetuals exchange that feels like a centralized one: a full order book on its own layer-1, no KYC, a published fee schedule, and a front end that turns U.S. visitors away. Anytime Capital is a U.S. money services business that serves customers worldwide, with a branch in Atlanta, a phone number, card pricing from 4%, and nine ways to pay. One is where you trade once you have USDC. The other is how you get it.
- Anytime Capital sells crypto for cash, wire, ACH, Cash App, Apple Pay, Google Pay and cards; Hyperliquid accepts only USDC on Arbitrum
- Anytime Capital serves customers worldwide, the U.S. included; Hyperliquid geoblocks U.S. users and bars them in its terms
- Call (470) 748-2530 or walk into the Atlanta branch; Hyperliquid support is a Discord ticket

Quick answer
Which is better, Hyperliquid or Anytime Capital?
They are not substitutes. Hyperliquid is a no-KYC perpetuals exchange that blocks U.S. users and cannot take a dollar from anyone; you arrive with USDC on Arbitrum or you do not arrive. Anytime Capital is the step before that: a U.S. money services business that turns cash, wire, ACH, Cash App, Apple Pay, Google Pay or a card into Bitcoin, Ethereum or USDC, delivers it to a wallet you control, and answers the phone. If you want on-chain leverage with self-custody and Hyperliquid's front end serves your country, it is the strongest venue of its kind. Wherever you are, turning dollars into crypto and holding it in a wallet you control starts here, and if you are in the U.S., the Hyperliquid front end will not let you in at all.

Card pricing at Anytime Capital, where Hyperliquid has no card rail
Published fee percentages on a debit or credit card order
Hyperliquid does not sell crypto for a card payment directly: there is no fiat rail at all; Hyperliquid only accepts USDC deposited on Arbitrum (or via HyperEVM bridges), so you need an on-ramp such as Anytime Capital to buy the USDC first. Anytime Capital card pricing starts from 4% and is shown in full before you confirm, excluding network fees. As of September 2026.
What Hyperliquid is, and what it is not
Hyperliquid was built by Hyperliquid Labs, a small team led by Jeff Yan, a Harvard mathematics graduate and former Hudson River Trading quant, and a co-founder known as iliensinc. It opened as an alpha in 2023 with one goal: run a central-limit order book entirely on-chain without the lag that made earlier DEXs unusable. To do that the team wrote its own layer-1, with a consensus engine called HyperBFT, and later added HyperEVM in February 2025 so that ordinary smart contracts could sit beside the order book. The HYPE token launched on November 29, 2024, with roughly 31% of supply, about 310 million tokens, airdropped to past users, and the Hyper Foundation now stewards the ecosystem.
The product is perpetual futures, margined in USDC, across hundreds of markets that now include non-crypto perpetuals on indexes, oil and precious metals, with leverage up to 40x, plus a native spot market. It has become the dominant on-chain perps venue by a wide margin, with trillions of dollars in cumulative volume, and it does all of this with no KYC. You connect a wallet, bridge USDC from Arbitrum, and trade. Nobody asks your name, and nobody can be called when something goes wrong.
Anytime Capital is a different kind of thing altogether. It is an American money services business that serves customers worldwide, with a storefront at 2549 Piedmont Road NE in Atlanta, an office in Miami, a phone number that reaches a person, and every payment rail you are likely to use, including cash and same-day wire. It does not run an order book or offer leverage. It sells you the coin for dollars, delivers it to a non-custodial wallet, and gives you a bank account and debit card to cash out into. For a Hyperliquid user, that is the on-ramp. For most buyers, it is the whole trip.
Fees: a published trading schedule, and nothing at all to get dollars in, because you cannot
Hyperliquid's published schedule is tight. Perpetuals start at 0.015% maker and 0.045% taker and fall with 14-day volume to 0% maker and 0.024% taker at the top tier. Spot starts at 0.04% maker and 0.07% taker and falls to 0% and 0.025%. Funding on perpetuals is settled hourly. There is no gas per trade, because the chain is purpose-built for it. Deposits of USDC from Arbitrum are free beyond the Arbitrum gas, with a 5 USDC minimum, and withdrawals back to Arbitrum cost a flat 1 USDC. Those are trading costs inside an already funded account, and the schedule is published in full.
The number Hyperliquid does not publish is the one a first-time buyer needs: what it costs to turn dollars into USDC on Arbitrum. There is no card, no ACH, no wire and no cash. You buy USDC somewhere else, move it to an Arbitrum address, and bridge it in. Every fee on that path, the on-ramp's card rate, the exchange's withdrawal fee, the bridge, belongs to someone other than Hyperliquid, and it is where most of the real cost of a small position lives.
Anytime Capital's pricing covers exactly that missing step: card orders from 4% with the spread included, one all-in number, with the amount you pay and the crypto you receive shown before you confirm, and ACH, wire and cash priced the same transparent way. USDC and Ethereum, the two assets a Hyperliquid user needs, each have their own buy page. For $20,000 and up the OTC desk quotes a same-day wire with a named contact, which is how larger balances usually reach an Arbitrum wallet in the first place.

Ways to pay: how you actually fund Hyperliquid, and why the on-ramp is the missing first step
Funding Hyperliquid is a three-part errand. First you buy USDC, or something you can swap into it, with dollars. Then you get that USDC onto Arbitrum One specifically, not Ethereum mainnet, not another chain, because a deposit on the wrong network is not credited and the docs are blunt that nobody can recover it. Then you sign the deposit from your wallet and wait for the bridge. There is no Apple Pay, no card, no bank transfer and no cash at any point, and if you are in the United States the front end will refuse the wallet connection before you reach step three.
Anytime Capital is the first part of that errand done properly. It accepts Apple Pay, Google Pay, debit and credit cards, ACH, domestic wire, Cash App, cash in person at the Atlanta branch, and cash by mail from anywhere in the country, and it delivers USDC or Ethereum to a wallet you control. Wires settle the same business day. If one rail is blocked by your bank, there are eight others, and a person on the phone who can tell you which one to use.

Support: a Discord ticket, versus a phone number
Hyperliquid's support is what you would expect from a protocol rather than a company: read the docs, then open a ticket in the official Discord or through a Zendesk email form, and expect up to 48 hours, longer on weekends. There is no live chat and no phone. The team can and did do one thing a protocol usually cannot, paying automated refunds of roughly $2 million after the 27-minute API outage on July 29, 2025, and users praised it for that. But nobody can reverse a fat-fingered order, recover USDC sent on the wrong chain, or unblock a wallet that a third-party compliance tool has flagged for touching a sanctioned address.
The March 2025 JELLY incident is the other side of that coin. A trader opened an $8 million short on the JELLYJELLY memecoin, pumped its price elsewhere, and pushed the loss onto Hyperliquid's community vault, HLP, where it reached about $12 million unrealized. Validators convened, voted within minutes, delisted the market and force-settled every position at $0.0095, the attacker's entry price. HLP was made whole, most users were reimbursed by the Hyper Foundation, and the vault's deposits fell from around $540 million to roughly $150 million in the weeks after as people digested what a small validator set had just done. It was decisive, and it was not decentralized.
At Anytime Capital you can call (470) 748-2530 during business hours and reach someone who can see your order. You can email. You can drive to the Atlanta branch and sort it out across a desk. For larger orders the OTC desk gives you a named contact from quote to settlement. It is a smaller thing than a validator vote, and for a person who just wants their money to arrive, it is usually the thing that matters.
Custody, no KYC, and the account that comes with it
Hyperliquid is non-custodial in the sense that matters: you trade from your own wallet, no one holds your keys, and no KYC is collected. That is a real advantage over any centralized exchange, and it is why the platform has drawn traders who would never hand a passport to an offshore venue. It is also why the platform cannot screen who uses it. Blockchain analysts flagged wallets linked to North Korea's Lazarus Group trading on Hyperliquid as early as late 2024, and in August and September 2026 reported more than $30 million moved through it, which coincided with record outflows and complicated the U.S. onshoring conversation.
Anytime Capital delivers what you buy to a non-custodial wallet you control, so the self-custody part is the same, and it adds what a protocol cannot: an FDIC-insured cash account with a free virtual debit card, so that selling Ethereum on Tuesday and spending the dollars does not involve a bridge, an exchange and a wire. More than 8,000 trades have gone through the platform that way, each one verified once and settled to a wallet the customer owns.
When Hyperliquid is the right call
Choose Hyperliquid if its front end serves your country, you already hold USDC on Arbitrum or can get it there, and you want on-chain perpetuals with self-custody, no KYC and CEX-grade execution. Nothing else in DeFi does that as well, and if the CFTC path President Trump described in August 2026 produces a compliant U.S. version, that will be worth revisiting. Until then, a U.S. customer cannot use it, and anyone anywhere still needs dollars turned into USDC first. For that step, and for buying and holding without the order book at all, start below.
