Quick answer
Which is better, Simplex or Anytime Capital?
For someone choosing one place to buy, Anytime Capital is the better fit wherever you are: it accepts Apple Pay, Google Pay, credit cards and Mastercard where Simplex limits its U.S. customers to Visa debit and prepaid cards, it prices cards from 4% with the spread included and no $10 floor, with the amount you pay and the crypto you receive shown before you confirm, and it adds cash, same-day wire, an OTC desk, a phone line and an FDIC-insured cash account with a debit card. Simplex is the stronger choice if you are already inside an exchange that uses it and want the coins to land in that exchange's account rather than a wallet you control.

Ways to pay: Simplex vs Anytime Capital
Payment methods live for a customer today
- Anytime Capital
- Simplex
Anytime Capital: Apple Pay, Google Pay, Debit card, Credit card, ACH bank transfer, Wire transfer, Cash App, Cash in branch, Cash by mail, each priced as one all-in number from 4% on card orders with the spread included. Simplex: 0 of those rails, none of them for a direct dollar purchase, priced a card processing fee of 3.5% to 5% depending on the partner, with a minimum fee of $10 per transaction, plus the network fee and any spread the partner exchange adds, with none; Simplex delivers the coins to the partner exchange or wallet, which sets its own withdrawal fee. Both exclude blockchain network fees. As of September 2026.
What Simplex is, and what it is not
Simplex was founded in 2014 in Israel by Nimrod Lehavi, Erez Shapira and Netanel Kabala to solve a problem exchanges could not: taking card payments for crypto without drowning in chargebacks. It became the buy-with-card button inside Binance, KuCoin, Ledger Live, Poloniex and hundreds more, and in 2021 the Canadian payments company Nuvei bought it for roughly $250 million. Its EU entity holds an Electronic Money Institution license from the Bank of Lithuania, and it is a principal member of Visa.
Simplex is not a place you go to buy Bitcoin. It is a processor that appears when you tap a partner's buy button, runs the identity check, takes the card payment and delivers the coins to that partner. That shape has consequences for Americans in particular: Simplex's own support center says U.S. customers can pay only with Visa personal debit, business debit and prepaid cards, with Mastercard, Apple Pay and Google Pay unavailable, and that New York, Hawaii and Louisiana are blocked entirely.
Anytime Capital is a U.S. company that serves customers worldwide, with a storefront on Piedmont Road in Atlanta, an office in Miami's One Biscayne Tower, a phone number that reaches a person, and rails that run from Apple Pay and cards to cash and same-day wire. It sells you the coin directly and delivers it to a wallet you control. The Bitcoin is the same; the shape of the company around it is not.
Fees: a processor fee, a partner spread and a $10 floor, versus one all-in number
Simplex publishes its range plainly: the card processing fee is between 3.5% and 5% of the order, with a minimum of $10 per transaction, whichever is greater. Where an order lands in that range is set by the partner, not the customer, and the partner exchange can add its own spread on top. The network fee is charged separately. On a $100 order the $10 floor works out to 10% before anything else, and the total only becomes clear once the partner's spread is added.
Anytime Capital prices the same kind of order as one all-in number: from 4% with the spread included, with the amount you pay and the crypto you receive shown before you confirm, and no separate minimum. There is no processor line, partner line and spread line to add up afterward. On a $10,000 order Anytime Capital would rather move you to a same-day wire through the OTC desk, where the card fee question disappears.
The other cost at Simplex is the coin's destination. It lands in the partner exchange's custodial account, and getting it to a wallet you control means a withdrawal with that exchange's fee and its own review. Anytime Capital delivers to a non-custodial wallet as part of the order.

Ways to pay: nine rails versus a Visa debit card
For a U.S. customer Simplex is one rail: a Visa debit or prepaid card. Its support center lists Mastercard, Apple Pay and Google Pay as unavailable for U.S. crypto purchases, and there is no ACH, no wire and no cash. That is workable if your Visa debit card clears. It is a dead end if your bank declines crypto purchases, if you carry a Mastercard, or if you were paid in cash.
Anytime Capital accepts Apple Pay, Google Pay, debit and credit cards on both networks, ACH, domestic wire, Cash App, cash in person at the Atlanta branch, and cash by mail from anywhere in the country. Wires settle the same business day. If one rail is blocked, there are eight others, and a person on the phone can tell you which will clear fastest.

Support: two ticket queues versus a phone number
Simplex's Trustpilot profile is one of the largest in the on-ramp category, around 4.0 out of 5 across roughly 29,000 reviews, with 67% five-star and 16% one-star. The praise is for speed: the card went through and the coins showed up in the exchange in minutes. The complaints are the classic processor set: a card declined after verification, an order charged but marked pending, a refund that took weeks, and a customer who could not tell whether the exchange or Simplex owned the problem.
That last complaint is structural. Simplex support is email and tickets, and the partner exchange has its own, so a stuck order can bounce between two queues. At Anytime Capital you can call (470) 748-2530 during business hours and reach someone who can see the order, email, or drive to 2549 Piedmont Road NE and sort it out across a desk. For larger orders the OTC desk gives you a named contact from quote to settlement.
More than a checkout: the account that comes with it
Simplex ends when the coins land in the partner's account. What you do next depends on that partner: whether you can sell, whether you can withdraw, what it costs. Simplex itself offers no balance, no card and no wallet.
Anytime Capital customers get an FDIC-insured cash account with a free virtual debit card, a non-custodial wallet, and buy and sell in the same app. Selling Bitcoin and spending the dollars the next day does not involve an exchange withdrawal, a bank transfer and a third company. More than 8,000 trades have gone through that process.
When Simplex is the right call
Choose Simplex if you are already inside an exchange or wallet that uses it, you want the coins in that platform's account rather than your own wallet, and you would rather reuse a verification that carries across its partner apps than start a new one.
