    How it works

    How to sell Avalanche

Selling Avalanche with Anytime Capital takes only a few minutes:

    1. Enter the amount of Avalanche you want to sell.
    2. Choose how you want to be paid — bank transfer, debit card, or one of the other payout methods.
    3. Check that your AVAX is on the C-Chain. Balances on the X-Chain or P-Chain have to be moved across inside your own wallet before they can be sent.
    4. Send your AVAX to the address shown, then complete verification if you have not already.
    5. Receive your money.

Avalanche has three chains and only one of them is the usual answer

Where most networks have a single ledger, Avalanche's primary network has three, each built for a different job. Your AVAX can sit on any of them and the balance looks the same, but the addresses do not and a transfer from the wrong one will not arrive.

    • C-Chain — the EVM-compatible contract chain. Addresses start with 0x. This is where almost every deposit and every application lives, and it is where you should be sending from
    • X-Chain — the asset exchange chain, addresses prefixed with X-. Rarely used now for anything but legacy balances
    • P-Chain — the platform chain, addresses prefixed with P-. Used for staking and for coordinating subnets

Moving between the chains is free and takes seconds

If your AVAX is on the X-Chain or P-Chain, you do not need a bridge or a third party — every Avalanche wallet supports a cross-chain transfer within your own account, and it settles in seconds for a negligible fee. Do that before you start the sale rather than after. The transfer is between chains you already control, so there is no counterparty and nothing to approve.

Staked AVAX is locked for the term you chose

Avalanche staking is not open-ended: when you delegate or validate, you commit for a fixed period set at the time — a minimum of two weeks for delegation, longer for validators — and the AVAX is locked on the P-Chain until that term ends. There is no early exit and no unbonding queue to enter, because the end date was fixed when you started. Check when your stake matures before planning a sale, and remember the coins land on the P-Chain and will need moving to the C-Chain afterwards.

Fast finality, and what changed in 2024

Avalanche reaches finality in under two seconds — transactions are settled rather than probabilistically confirmed, so there is no waiting for additional blocks the way there is on a proof-of-work chain. Fees on the C-Chain were already low and the Avalanche9000 upgrade in late 2024 cut base fees dramatically further, putting a typical transfer in the region of a few cents. For a seller that means the on-chain leg is effectively instant and the wait is entirely on the payout rail.

How long does it take to send AVAX to us?

Avalanche settles on Avalanche, where a transfer typically confirms in under 2 minutes. Avalanche's consensus finalizes transactions in about a second — there is no confirmation ladder to climb. C-Chain transfers of AVAX, USDT, or USDC are final almost immediately; exchange crediting adds the only meaningful wait. We start your payout once the transfer has confirmed on-chain, so this is the part of a sale you are usually waiting on.

What does it cost to send AVAX?

That is a Avalanche network fee, paid to the network rather than to us: Typically $0.01–$0.10 on the C-Chain in 2025–2026, after fee-reduction upgrades (Avalanche9000 in late 2024 cut base fees dramatically). See /fees-and-limits for what Anytime Capital charges.

What do AVAX addresses look like?

C-Chain address: 0x + 40 hex characters. The chain consumers use — exchange deposits and withdrawals are C-Chain Check the first and last characters against the address on the payout screen before you send — a Avalanche transfer cannot be reversed once it is confirmed.
