Taking payments
What can my customers pay with?
Cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay on every checkout, and bank account (ACH) on payment links and invoices once you turn it on in Settings → Payments. Customers can also pay USDC or USDT to your business wallet through a stablecoin payment request. Pay later (Klarna, Afterpay, Affirm), Cash App Pay and PayPal are coming soon and aren't offered at checkout yet. Details are on Payment methods.
Do I need a website or developers to take payments?
No. Make a payment link or an invoice in the dashboard and share it by text, email, DM or QR code, or take a payment in person with a QR code. The API, webhooks and website Pay button are there when you want to automate.
How large can a single payment be?
A payment link takes $1.00 to $10,000.00; an invoice can total $1.00 to $100,000.00. You can set a lower maximum of your own in Settings → Risk.
Can I take payments in person without a card reader?
Yes. In Checkout tools → Collect in person, key in the amount and show the QR code; your customer scans it and pays on their own phone with Apple Pay, Google Pay or their card. Your screen shows Paid when it goes through. See In person.
Can checkout use my own domain and brand?
Yes. Upload your logo and pick your brand colour in Settings → Branding & receipts, and connect a subdomain such as pay.yourbusiness.com in Settings → Domains. Payment links, invoices and receipts then open on your domain, in your branding. See Checkout.
How do refunds work?
Refund all or part of a payment from Orders in the dashboard. The payment's amountRefundedCents goes up and you receive the payment.refunded webhook. Refunds above your approval limit, made by anyone but the owner, wait for the owner's approval (Settings → Team & approvals). Refunds aren't available through the API.
What happens when a customer disputes a payment?
You receive dispute.opened, the payment's status becomes disputed, and you respond from Disputes in the dashboard. You can also have pre-dispute alerts refunded automatically, up to a limit you set, in Settings → Risk. See Fraud rules & 3D Secure.
Payouts
How fast can I get my money?
From Payouts in the dashboard: payouts to your own bank account, standard or instant where eligible, instant sweeps into an Anytime Capital business account, RTP or FedNow transfers to any US bank, same-day domestic wires, vendor payments by ACH, local rails in 71+ countries, stablecoin payouts from your balance, crypto conversion of your balance and employee cards funded from your balance, whenever you like or on your automatic schedule, with each payout's expected arrival shown before you confirm. Every option, with its speed, is on Payouts.
Can I pay suppliers outside the US?
Yes: over local rails in 71+ countries, in the supplier's own currency (SEPA Instant, Faster Payments, PIX, SPEI, UPI and others), with SWIFT everywhere else, or in USDC and USDT.
Can I take my balance in stablecoins or crypto?
Yes. Send USDC or USDT on-chain (minutes, including weekends), or convert your balance to bitcoin, ether, solana and other assets and send it out the same day.
API and docs
What can I do with the API?
Create and manage payment links, invoices, customers, products, discount codes and subscription plans; read payments, refunds, disputes, payouts and your balance; refund within your approval limit; cancel, pause and resume subscriptions; send usage for usage billing; and manage webhook endpoints. Webhooks tell you about each change as it happens. Every endpoint is in the API reference.
Is there a sandbox or test mode?
Yes. Turn on Test mode in the dashboard header to work on a copy of your business where no real money moves: pay test checkouts with the sandbox test cards, create ak_test_ API keys that reach test data only, receive test webhooks marked livemode: false, simulate events such as disputes and renewals, load sample data and reset it. You can use it before your business is verified. See Test mode.
Is there an SDK?
Not one you can install yet: a Node SDK is in preview and isn't on npm. The API is plain HTTPS and JSON, so any language's HTTP client works; every endpoint in the reference has curl, Node.js and Python examples, and code generators can build a client from the OpenAPI document.
AI and MCP
Can an AI assistant integrate Anytime Capital Payments for me?
Yes. Paste the integration prompt from Build with AI into Claude Code, Cursor or another coding assistant in your project. It points the assistant at the Markdown docs and spells out the rules: key on the server, Idempotency-Key on every POST, verified webhooks.
How do I connect Claude to my Anytime Capital account?
Create a dedicated API key in Settings → Developers, then run claude mcp add --transport http anytime-capital https://anytime-capital.com/api/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer ak_live_..." in Claude Code. Configs for Cursor, Claude Desktop and other clients are on Build with AI.
What can an assistant do through the MCP server?
Whatever its key allows, through one tool per API endpoint (usage billing's aside): read payments, refunds, payouts, disputes and your balance; make and change payment links, invoices, customers, products, discount codes and subscription plans; refund within your approval limit; and cancel, pause or resume subscriptions. Each tool calls the matching REST endpoint with your key, with the same validation, rate limit and idempotency. The full list is on AI agents.
Can an AI assistant move money or issue refunds?
It can never move money out of your balance: there are no payout or transfer tools, and payouts are made in the dashboard. It can refund a payment only if its key has refunds write, and a refund over your approval limit waits for an owner. Give each assistant a restricted key with only what it needs (Safe AI agents). Tools that change something are marked as such, so clients like Claude can ask before running them, and every change is written to your activity log under the key's name. Revoke the key in Settings → Developers to cut access instantly.
Security
Where should I keep my API key?
On your server, in an environment variable or secret manager. Never in a browser, mobile app, repository or log. Use one key per integration (up to 10 active) so you can revoke one without the others.
Do card numbers touch my servers?
No. Customers enter card details on Anytime Capital's checkout: the hosted page, or the Pay button and inline checkout, which load that checkout from Anytime Capital inside your page. Your servers only ever see the payment's brand and last four digits through the API.
How do I know a webhook really came from Anytime Capital?
Verify the Anytime-Signature header: an HMAC-SHA256 of the timestamp and the raw body, keyed with your endpoint's whsec_ signing secret. Compare in constant time and reject old timestamps. Code for Node.js, Next.js and Python is on Webhooks.
Onboarding and verification
Who can use Anytime Capital Payments?
Businesses with an Anytime Capital business account that have passed verification (KYB). Create your account, then finish verification in Settings → Verification. The API answers 403 NOT_ENROLLED until your business is set up for card payments.
Pricing and support
How much does Anytime Capital Payments cost?
2.75% + 30¢ per successful online card or wallet payment, with no monthly, setup or PCI fees. International cards, currency conversion and disputes may carry additional fees, shown in your dashboard before you accept a payment. See pricing.
Is there an offer for new businesses?
Yes: 2.5% + 30¢ for your first 90 days of card payments. Claim it when you sign up or from the pricing page.
Is there a referral program?
Every business account has a referral link in Settings → Referrals. A business that signs up through it pays 2.5% + 30¢ for its first 90 days of card payments. When it is verified and switches card payments on, you get 30 more days at 2.5% + 30¢, added after any days you already have, for up to 12 businesses. Referring a second business of your own doesn't count.
Do you offer custom pricing?
Yes, for businesses processing $1M+ a year, together with a dedicated payments team: shared Slack channel with our payments and risk team; named account manager and quarterly pricing review; custom pricing, payout schedules and reserve terms.
How do I get help?
Every business account has live, US-based support by phone, chat and email: hello@anytime-capital.com or (470) 748-2530. See Support.
